Counseling

Mental health counseling is the first and foremost service provided by The Men’s Corner. We believe it’s crucial to address young men’s mental and emotional health before we help them reach for their educational or career goals.

We work with professional mental health counselors to provide treatment and guidance for:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Substance abuse disorders
  • Stress
  • Trauma

Mentorship

One of the biggest challenges facing young men in today’s society is a lack of positive mentorship. Through mentorship, men and boys can build an understanding of who they are and what they want. Role models become the foundation for their future success.

Our mentorship services are available for youth and young men from all walks of life. Although mentorship is not provided by licensed counselors, it can serve as an extension of mental health counseling by further discussing and working through emotional stressors.

Financial Education

Our financial and crediting courses are designed to set young men up for future financial stability. We’ll help them learn to earn, save, spend, and borrow safely, on any budget.

These courses are for people of all ages and cover topics such as:

  • Making a budget
  • Paying taxes
  • Starting a business
  • Building good credit
  • Buying a first home

Career Workshops

How can I afford college? How do I enter the workforce with no experience? Is it worth it to go to college, or is a trade school a better fit for me?

These are all topics covered in career and informational workshops provided by The Men’s Corner. Our goal is to provide young men from all backgrounds with the tools they need to start or grow their careers.

Internship Program

The Men’s Corner partners with local Dallas businesses to provide an internship program as an extension of our career workshops.
